In this month’s Lunch Break Roulette, we sat down with Full Fibre’s marketing executive Hannah Boulton, who is the newest addition to the team. Hannah creates and manages all of Full Fibre’s marketing campaigns around the country so there’s never a dull moment for her in the office.
How long have you worked at Full Fibre Limited?
Not long. I started working in January this year so I’m currently the newest in the office!
What is a typical day like for you at Full Fibre Limited and what are you currently working on?
There isn’t really a standard day which is what I really enjoy! At the moment I’m working on a campaign in Leominster and Shrewsbury to create awareness and to help us get involved with the community.
What do you like most about your job?
I love that I have the freedom to be really creative and that I get to meet interesting people every day.
What are your biggest professional challenges at Full Fibre Limited?
I would say that I am constantly juggling 1000 things at once, but as long as I keep organised it’s not really a problem. It means that I’m never bored as there is always something I can be doing.
Before working at Full Fibre Limited, what was the most interesting/unusual job that you’ve had?
I worked as a marketing executive for a charity in South Africa for a Summer which was definitely an experience! I’ve worked at McDonalds, the council, clothing brands, so a wide variety.
What is the biggest career lesson you’ve learned while working at Full Fibre Limited?
The importance of being organised and that it’s okay to ask questions.
If you could organise a fun office day-out doing anything and anywhere in the world, what would it be?
I’m very easily pleased I can’t lie. I think I’d just enjoy being sat on the beach all day, then going to the pub in the evening for food and cider while the sunsets.
How do you define success?
Waking up in the morning and looking forward to going to work.
If you could work with one person at Full Fibre Limited (dead or alive) who would it be and why?
I would love to work with Will Smith. He’s such a great motivational speaker and he seems so humble and fun.
If you could choose any restaurant in Exeter to go on your lunch break where would it be?
Going to the Old Firehouse for one of their pizzas for sure. I’ve heard that Red Panda down Gandy Street is really good so that’s definitely on my list of places to go.
If Full Fibre Limited could have an office anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be and why?
I would love it if Full Fibre had an office in New York! It’s definitely the best place I’ve ever visited, you just feel like you’re in a film the whole time.
What activity do you mainly use the internet for outside of work?
I’ve really gotten into listening to podcasts recently! I particularly like listening to interviews with people who work in the marketing industry.
If you could add one thing to the Full Fibre Limited’s office what would it be?
A coat hanger!
If you could be an expert in anything what would it be and why?
I have a couple of friends who studied environmental science at university and they always have such interesting facts and stories to tell me about animals and the environment so I would love to know more about that. It would also be really helpful to be an expert in cooking as its definitely not one of my strong points!
