FAQ's

Fibre broadband uses fibre optic cables rather than the standard copper cable used in regular broadband connections. This allows for a much faster and reliable connection to the internet.

Our home FTTP connections can currently offer up to 1,000Mbps, making it among the fastest broadband on the market.  For businesses we can provide speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps or 10Gbps for leased line services.

Mbps and Gbps are a measure of how much data you can download or upload at a time.  Mbps means the number of Megabits per second and Gbps means the number of Gigabits per second. With our best home broadband – 1,000 Mbps –  (when you’re frantically trying to download some entertainment before dashing for your train) you could download a HD movie in less than a minute rather than weighting over 20 minutes on a regular connection.

Yes, we offer a full fibre service, real fibre all the way from our small box in your home through our fibre network to the internet at one of the major UK data centres. No copper, no coax, no wireless just 100% fibre all the way giving the potential of Gigabit speeds.

We build 100% FTTP (Fibre to the Premises), which means that our fibre broadband is wired directly to your home instead of a cabinet, resulting in a much faster and reliable connection.  Traditionally, broadband that is delivered over your phone line might have fibre going to the cabinet (a big green box somewhere on the side of the road) but from there goes over potentially very old copper connections – and it’s this that makes it slower and less stable.

Yes, having a full fibre network means that you can enjoy much faster and uninterrupted gaming, streaming and downloading, all at the same time!  Not only does Full Fibre broadband let you stream and download faster, but it also provides much more stable upload speeds.  This means everything from backing up your iPhoto library to FaceTiming your grandchildren to video conferencing when working from home are reliable and seamless.  You will never have to consider if your broadband is a problem again.

Having a faster and more reliable network means that you can avoid any family disputes, by being able to connect to a larger number of devices than with previous forms of broadband.

If you want to find out if Full Fibre has arrived in your area, you can use our postcode checker here. We’ll only email you when we’re building in your area and to let you know how to order a connection.

No, as Full Fibre limited is wholesale, we do not sell fibre broadband directly. We focus on building and supporting our network leaving our ISPs to focus on what they do best; delivering ultrafast and reliable broadband to you! By having a range of providers, this will enable you to find the best price and partnership for you.

Uniquely we do not sell our services (so no hard sales calls from us) but rather leave it to those that have the skills and resources to deliver the best packages, speeds and options for your home.  You have a choice from the local company that can delivery personal service to the national provider that will give you the best price.  All ISPs place customer service as the highest priority and so will deliver a carefully considered solution designed to meet the exact requirements of your home.

Have a look at our range of broadband packages if you’re unsure of which one is best for you. We have a package for every need and budget.

Yes, this is a brand new network, it doesn’t rely on any of the existing Victorian copper network so we need to install a new fibre connection box, this is slightly larger than your current telephone point and typically the route to you home and termination point is the same as the current telephone, no new poles or ducts.

It’s likely that we would get the fibre to you in the same way your telephone line is currently delivered.  Often this means a small wire from the pole near to your house or through an existing duct. Our engineers will talk to you about the route the cable would go through before starting any work and will only need to drill one small hole for the cable to come in.  They tidy up after themselves, have clean boots, and are regularly assessed on the neatness of their work, so you don’t need to worry about them making a mess or the process being disruptive.

That depends on your location, typically in areas that are ready for service you are up and running within 14 days from placing an order.  We do sometimes come across challenges but will clearly communicate these with you during your order journey.

Having a large number of ISPs means that we can provide a broadband package that meets all of your needs.  Most of our providers offer telephone services at a lower cost than traditional copper lines and offer a great range of TV services too.  It’s also worth considering if you will need a traditional phone line and TV service with better broadband – all of our fibre connections support seamless video and voice streaming, so with WiFi calling on your mobile and the likes of Netflix and Amazon, many customers choose not to take these services and reduce their bills further. If you change your mind you can always add them at any point.

The provider you choose to place your order with will be able to help you set this up. Having our fibre broadband installed won’t impact your current copper internet connection so you can leave that running until your new connection is up and working.

No. Unlike with a traditional internet connection that comes into your house over the phone line, you don’t have to have a telephone number and pay line rental.  There’s a single monthly cost and that’s it.

When you place your order, you will be offered a range of installation dates so you can pick the one that is the most convenient for you.  You will get the choice of an AM or PM slot too.  We’ll aim to have you connected within 2 – 3 weeks, but sometimes it can be as little as three days.

Much like with a traditional copper telephone line and internet service we offer you a choice of providers.  Once your contract expires you can either renew with your current provider or pick a new one. We’ll handle the switch over so you shouldn’t experience any time off-line.

Can I get connected?
